Mexico- 16th- 23rd March

The journey took about 5 hours from Seattle with an indirect flight via San Francisco. Jacqueline and Michael (sister and brother in law) own a condominium which is situated in Puerto Vallarta on the west coast of Mexico.  We had another luxurious chance of staying in 5* accommodation with a great view of the Pacific Ocean.  The two of us  had a great insight  to the  wide variety  of Mexican food and plenty of liquid  refreshments ( Corona lights !) during our stay  as they were  readiy  available by the bucket around the pool as you can see I  sampled.

Enjoying a bucket of Corona lights, shared with Steve though!

We had a nice relaxing time and decided to just stay on the complex which was pretty big. We did not do any sightseeing but managed to fit in a bit of swimming and tennis. I think we were the only Brits there as the complex mainly consisted of Mexicans, Canadians and Americans.

We tried out the complex's weekly grill night on the beach which included live music and entertainment;  it was a great night as the overall price included as many drinks as we wanted so  as you can expect we sampled lots of tequilas and margaritas too.  As usual this was ok on the evening,  but the next day we suffered.

The weather was fantastic  it was nice to get back to the summer so soon as  a couple of weeks in the winter was enough.  Most nights we got great views of the sunset.

The complex had many amenities such as a lazy river, wave pool,  golf course, tennis courts, many pools and plenty of restaurants.

Our next destination is  Seattle for a week before setting off on the next part of our journey.
